A city plunged into darkness reveals a comforting myriad of stars. This was Karl Hugo's inspiration for composing and performing Twinkling Stars of Hope. Yuzuru Hanyu and David Wilson invited him to create a hymn for the victims of 3.11. In addition to piano, orchestra and voices, he used taiko, shakuhachi and koto for this shimmering opening of the Notte Stellata Show.
